Trieste, Sunday 22.07.01, 02.00 PM
So we came back. What can I say? Great!
We went with three motor-cycles (five persons). GS 1150, Vara and Vulcan
800. All motor-cycles were held out trip whithout problems. BMW was the best
(small use of fuell) my Vara was problematical at use of fuell (app. 8 L)
and sliding suit-case on the floor, Vulcan was the worse - on almoust every
third overcames he lost a part of exhaust pipe. I'm talking about fast
driving - we have a little time and we want to see as much as possible.

Trip
We spend six days in Greece and we've travel 2200 km (we went across central
Greece, Peloponez to Lefkado and back to Igumenitse. Roads are quite good
(sometimes is hole in the middle of the road), there is a lot of mountain
passages.
Second day we lift up and down about eight times betwen Meteora and Korint.
Some of the mountain passages are likely Vrsic mounty pas in Slovenia.
The most beautifull is  Peloponez (betwen Sparta and Kamalta)-below was
temperature about 37 deg.C, under app.15 deg.C. When you look back and far
to the valley you can see serpentne (eehhhh, what a view).

Conditions on the road
Greece people drive somekind chaotic, horn means everything to them - when
they turn around, when they are breaking or when they spot a beautifull girl
or say hello  to a neighbour and of course when they are upset. If your horn
doesn't work you are practical nobody. Car drivers are fantastic, they
notice you immediately and whithdraw on right (except one priest which was
probably late for work an he  probably spoke in the car  with his boss ).

Conditions on our way
Hot, hot, hot, but when you are on the motor-cycle there is no problem -
heat is dry and it's  easyer to stand  this then 27 deg.C at home.

Food
What can I say? Excellent. We eat in deserted inns - where we saw a truck
drivers (most comonly there is a good food).

Drink
Beer : Amstell and Mythas (I often dreamt Laško)

Women
Good and not so skiny as ours and they are pretty rich (you know what I
mean).

Police
Most of their time they hide from the heat, we saw two radars. We have no
trouble with them.

Beach
Nice, 40 km sand and turquoise sea.

Women after sunning
Grrrrr, all of them dressed.

Greece men
Our tourist workers (not to mention tourist workers in Istra) can learn a
lot from them. They are kind and natural, always find time for you. They are
a little slowly but who cares.
In some town we were lost. Beside us stoped local woman and with some
problems with language (we spoke esperanto she spoke greece)she turned the
car and took us to exit of town.

Backside pain
It happens after 100 km, but latter you get accustom to pain and you ignore
it.

Prices
I can live there. Five of us  eat and get drank with gratuitously hangover
for 50-70 DEM. I don't know what are Slovenian and German tourist doing in
Istra.

Criminal
We didn't notice any. We left our motor-cycles anywhere whitout bad
fellings.

WC
Sometimes OK, sometimes not. Just in case - have your toilett paper with
you.

Language
A lot of them speaks english - if not there is always esperanto.

Memorableness
Stone on 37 deg.C. Meteora touched me and circular wall in Messoha.

Motor-cycles
A lot of Vara and Afra, mostly old motor-cycles whit such noise that can
excite envy to HD.

That's all folks. If you are interested for more just ask.
